Utilizing Birthday Buddy on Google Chrome
1. Open Google Chrome. It's a red, green, yellow, and blue sphere icon. You need to do this on a computer given that the mobile version of Chrome does not support extensions.
2. Go to the Birthday Pal extension page. This app permits you to create expressions to use for your pals' birthdays. Birthday Buddy then takes these expressions and posts them to buddies' pages on their birthdays.
3. Click ADD TO CHROME. This blue button remains in the top-right side of the extension window.
4. Click Add extension when prompted. It remains in a pop-up window at the top of the page. Doing so will set up the Birthday Friend extension.
5. Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/. This will open your Facebook News Feed if you're already logged into Facebook.
- If you aren't already logged into Facebook, enter your e-mail address (or telephone number) and password in the top-right side of the page, then click Log In.
6. Click Birthday Pal. It's a tab in the column of options that's in the upper-left side of the page. Clicking it opens a pop-up window.
7. Enter your account info. Complete the following fields:.
- First Name - Your given name.
- Surname - Your last name.
- Email - Type in an email address that you desire to use for your Birthday Buddy account.
- Password - Type in a password that you want to use for your Birthday Buddy account.
- Confirm Password - Re-enter your password.
8. Click Submit. It's at the bottom of the Birthday Pal window. Doing so develops your account and takes you to the message production page.
9. Produce an automatic birthday message. On the left side of the Birthday Buddy window, click a text field, then type in your message. Make certain you click the Name button to place a prompt for the person's name if you wish to include their name in the birthday message.
- For example, you might type "Happy Birthday, [click Name]" to create a message that says "Delighted Birthday, [NAME] in the Birthday Pal window. This message will use the very first name of the individual whose birthday you're referencing.
- You can create as much as three of these.
10. Click Save. It's in the bottom-left side of the window. Your messages will now be designated arbitrarily to good friends when their birthdays come up.
On Mobile.
1. Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook app icon, which looks like a white "f" on a dark-blue background. This will open the Facebook News Feed if you're logged in.
- If you aren't logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, then tap Log In.
2. Tap the search bar. It's at the top of the screen.
3. Enter your friend's name. Doing so will trigger a drop-down list of matching names below the search bar.
4. Tap your friend's name. It needs to be near the top of the search bar. This will take you to a list of profiles.
5. Select your pal's profile. Tap the profile that comes from your pal to open their profile page.
6. Scroll down and tap the "Write Post" text box. It's listed below the row of options below their profile picture. Doing so opens a post window.
7. Type in your happy birthday desire. Merely go into the expression or message that you want your buddy to see.
8. Tap Post. It remains in the top-right corner of the window.
On Desktop.
