Facebook Appear Offline - As much as all of us like talking with friends on Facebook, it can get discouraging when your web surfing is constantly interrupted by chat alerts and new windows opening up. One method to prevent this scenario is to set your Facebook chat status to offline. This setting will make it appear that you are presently unavailable, enabling you to browse in peace.
Visit to Facebook and click on Chat.
Next, click on Choices > Go Offline to set your chat status as "offline".
You can reset your online status by merely clicking Chat (Offline) to show your good friends list:.
This setting is not well publicized in the app and might have gone undetected by lots of users. Open the Facebook Messenger app and choose your address book. Tap on the Active tab and after that toggle the switch displayed next to your username to the Off position:.
Now that you have successfully disabled Facebook Chat your mobile, you will no longer appear in the Active tab of your good friends.

1. Expect you switched on the chat by clicking on "Turn on chat" on the top right corner of the chat box.

- Not simply the names of your pals, you can also go into the List.
