How To Make Facebook Photos Private. Any picture that you're tagged in "belongs" to someone else. Unless it's a picture of you that you tagged yourself in.,
If it's a picture of you that you took and tagged yourself in, you "own" the image, and are for that reason in charge of its privacy settings. You can pick "Only Me" from the drown down menu on the photo, like so:

Photos that others have tagged you in will remain public, even if you get rid of the tag from that image Whoever published the image that your tagged in "owns" that photo.
To remove a tag, click the fall arrow at the top of the post/ picture and click "Get rid of Tag":

You'll get this notice though:

You can also change your timeline privacy settings. These are mine:

Go to settings from the fall menu:.

Then choose "Timeline and Tagging".
You'll be able to control exactly what can be published on your timeline, and if you see someone has tagged a photo of you, you can eliminate the tag and pick to hide it from your timeline.
Facebook will signal you to anybody who's tagged you in anything on your actual timeline, at the bottom right of your cover photo.
In summary, only your own content can be made private. Anything you have actually been tagged in by others will be public - however you have the option to conceal this material from your timeline.
Hope How To Make Facebook Photos Private this assists!
