Can I Appear Offline On Facebook - As much as all of us love talking with friends on Facebook, it can get frustrating when your web browsing is continuously interrupted by chat alerts and brand-new windows opening. One method to avoid this circumstance is to set your Facebook chat status to offline. This setting will make it appear that you are presently not available, permitting you to search in peace.
Log in to Facebook and click Chat.
Next, click Choices > Go Offline to set your chat status as "offline".
You can reset your online status by merely clicking on Chat (Offline) to show your buddies list:.
